This afternoon I'm renting a car and zipping down to the Washington coast. I'm all signed up to go on my first pelagic (college-boy term for "ocean-going") birding trip with Westpost Seabirds Saturday. Then visiting one of my best college friends, Jon Moritsugu (caution: naughty words and gleeful subversion; link will open the window quite a bit wider into my degenerate, pre-monastic past), at his survivalist compound on Vashon Island for a couple days. Then, on Tuesday, back to Mongolia! I'll do my level best to check in again before then, mit fotos.
