My Little Buddhing Buddhist -- Reposted/Updated
So read the subject line of a recent, hilarious email from best bud Sarah. With her permission, I share it with you verbatim, to lighten your weekend a bit. What? It’s not the weekend yet where you are? You gotta get on the right side of the International Date Line, man!
The anecdote Sarah sent concerns her and her husband Alan’s recently-adopted munchkin Trystan and his recent metaphysical pointing-out instructions disguised as a tantrum. Here he is...

...in pj’s Sarah says he almost never removes. Well, of course not! Once you acquire super powers, who wants to go back to being Clark Kent?
Here’s what she wrote:
“I took a toy away from Trystan because he'd thrown it after I'd told him not to. He was having a hissy over it and I said something like, ‘Well, I asked you not to throw it, and then you did. So what am I supposed to think?’ “He says, ‘You're NOT supposed to think. Your mind is EMPTY!!!!’”
You ponder that the right way, you’ll be enlightened by Monday and you can quit your day job. Me, I’m off to sweep out a cell at the monastery for li’l Trystan.
PS: You have until March 31 -- that's Monday! -- to sign avaaz.org's online petition in support of Tibet before it's delivered to Chinese embassies and consulates worldwide. Well over one million people already have. Help them get to two!
PPS/Update: When this was first posted, I was at the same time extolling the features and complaining about the bugs in Typepad's new composition/editing window. I contacted them and one of the Typepad Overlords informed me that I was one of the few to sneak in when they were testing it; it's not quite ready for prime time yet and, like Sarah with Trystan, they've snatched away my new toy and handed back my old familiar window. The good news is that the comment function is restored, so comment away!
PPPS: Hmm. Now that the new window has vanished, I've also lost the ability to delete the previous post. Well, it's a funny story, so enjoy it twice!

Testing, testing, testing...
