OK, while I do appreciate at least a public statement yesterday from the Bushes about Myanmar’s Saffron Revolution, this image is just too good to pass up and I now declare open a DODR Kaption Kontest in the comments section. Dependable Renegade already weighed in but I honestly think we can do better than that. Please keep it PG-13:

look Laura! that guy's in his jammies!

Bush thinking: "He's gonna do the crane technique. I know it--I just know it! Wait for it...Wait for it..."

700 billion dollars is a lot of money Mrs Bush
and I am sorry your country is heading towards another Great Depression.
The Buddha said that life is full of suffering so don't take it too bad.
Tell your husband impermanence is a fact of life and that he might actually have to get a real job in this lifetime.

Inspired by Raiden in the video game Mortal Kombat - "Now watch carefully Presi and you can see i will shoot electricity, like a bolt lightening, across the valley. How much will you pay for this "weapon of mass destruction"?????

Bro Gonchig
As much as I dislike Bush and regret all the havoc he has wrought on the US and the world, I've got to play the glad game and say I am happy about the respect he has always shown to HH Dalai Lama.

Well, Steve, you know the old saying -- even the unluckiest squirrel finds a nut sometimes. I, too, have appreciated Bush's kind public words about the Dalai Lama. In fact, I often cite it as the one thing he's done right in eight years. But I wonder how much is genuine, and how much is just the desire to poke China in the eye.

Mrs. Bush thinking "could it be . . . SATAN?" (ala dana carvey's church lady)

The condescending smirk on Laura's face says it all...
But you all are right -- he at least publicly supports the Dalai Lama, which is fantastic.
I just wish his suport went further than a shiny medal and a group photo. He missed the chance for even a more substantive show of support (to say nothing of actually doing something beyond the symbolic) during the Beijing Olympics, but then he would have sacrificed his chance to have "good seats" at the Opening Ceremony...
