The nuns at my temple weren’t born nuns. They grew up in the world and many are, therefore, refreshingly irreverent. Earlier this year, one of them, Ani Aileen, sent me a hilarious email that had been making the rounds, listing “Christmas Carols for the Psychologically Challenged.” They’re all funny, but this morning I actually had occasion to use the one for Attention Deficit Disorder. It goes like this: “We wish you...Hey look! It’s snowing!”
OMG! I'm in a tediously boring meeting, with nothing going the way it was supposed to and my staff forgot to order lunch so everyone will mutiny... and this is exactly what I needed!
Thanks for the gift of laughter, even if I'm doing it silently.
