Well I'll be dipped. In searching for a good link for Nyamgavaa, it seems he may have made a film in 1998 about Danzan Ravjaa! It doesn't say so directly, but "Ferocious Saint Lord of Gobi" is certainly one of his epithets. Can anyone confirm?

The Yuan, isn't that the Dynasty that means China WAS, IS and will ALWAYS be a part of Mongolia?

Well now, Steve, there's a bit of debate about that. It may be that, based on the more recent Qing Dynasty, that China was, is, and always will be a part of Manchuria.

Konchog Lama,
Yes, Nyamgavaa produced that movie. Danzanravjaa's role was played by Sosorbaram, one of popular mongolian actors. I saw it on TV other day and its quality ( I mean it seemed like it was shot in B&W) was not that good.

I looked the movie up on the imdb, and it is listed, but with no more info than you already have, except that it did appear in the Seattle Film Festival in May, 2000. We should get a copy and put in subtitles!

Hi Konchog! I hope you write more about Mongolian winter if you can. It is so fascinating I envy you so much. Winters have become so lame here at home I dont know what to do! Throw in some prayer for lots of snow in Croatia will you? I work in construction and snowy winter means more free days and more time to read DODR. Stay well Lama Konchog!
